Building a Stronger MHCC Community - Together
Why Vote?
Building Community Through More Student Events:
I will work with ASMHCC, campus clubs and staff to increase inclusive, fun events that bring students together. These events will create more opportunities for connection, relaxation, and involvement. My goal is to help MHCC feel like a welcoming community, not just a place to attend class.
Strengthen Student Access to Counseling and Support:
My second goal is to work to make MHCC's counseling services more visible, accessible, and stigma-free so students feel supported and know help is available. I believe every student should know about our excellent free counseling service. I will do this by creating events that bring our amazing counselors to us.
Ensure Transparency and Student Voices in the Bond Process:
The MHCC Bond is a $136 million project to revamp, expand, and refine our facilities. Through my role on the Bond Steering Committee, I will advocate for transparency and make sure student voices are heard and represented in the bond process.

A Little
About Me
"The Only Person You Are Destined to Become is the Person You Decide to be"
Hi, my name is Nick. I'm one of the roughly 5,000 people who call Wood Village a home and was born and raised in Multnomah County. Growing up, Mt. Hood Community College has always played a major role in my life. One of my favorite memories was in fourth grade, where my friends' parents took us to the planetarium. I was absolutely amazed by how stunning space was.
Currently, I am a first-year MHCC student pursuing a degree in history, with plans to attend law school. I decided to become a lawyer when I was very young because I feel it's the type of career I could come to work everyday excited to do –Hey, they even make tv shows out of it like Suits about lawyers who actually help the world instead of just showing up each day. Having a career centered on helping people is how I would want to spend the rest of my life.
I decided to run for president because so often in my life, I have felt like an outsider. I want to help make Mt. Hood a place where every student feels welcomed, supported, and heard— no matter who they are or where they come from.
